Laurel Run Blue Streaks
Welcome to home to the 2014 Laurel Run Blue Streaks Undefeated Pacific Division Champions! This program offers something for swimmers of all abilities. Practices are differentiated based on the experience of the swimmer as well as a pre-team for those first-time competitive swimmers. The sport of competitive swimming is proven to better athletes both physically and mentally. It’s also a great way for kids to meet new friends and build a stronger bond with existing friends that are also on the team. Adults are welcome also!
The upcoming 2015 season will be led by Muhlenberg Age Group Head Coach Kyle Crater, as well as Assistant Coaches Michelle Rowles, Stacy Olexy, and Karin Althouse.
The fee to swim with the Blue Streaks for 2015 is $70* for 1st child and $65 for each additional child. $12 for High School swimmer registered in a summer program. $5 for Adults. Each family is also required to buy four $7 tickets for the Flapjack Fundraiser (see below). These tickets may be used at the fundraiser or you may sell them.
*The Berks County Swimming Association charges $5 per swimmer to swim during the summer swim season, plus $7 championship fee. These are included in each swimmer's registration fee.
Every family is required to buy four $7 tickets to the Flapjack Fundraiser. These tickets can be used at the event or sold to someone else. The breakfast is 8:00am to 10:00am Sunday, May 17th, at Applebee's on 5th Street Highway. This fundraiser is very profitable for our swim team. Thank you for all your support.
Additional fundraisers may be proposed during the season. These will be optional participation.
The Blue Streak registration form may be brought to one of the scheduled registration dates, the parents' meeting or dropped off at the pool office once the season starts.
There will be two sign-up sessions during the preseason
**The constitution of the Berks County Swimming Association (BCSA) requires, "A competitor must be a bona fide member, or full time employee of the BCSA club or organization represented. Bona fide member is defined as a competitor that has full pool privileges."
